Directions and Rubric
Purpose:
The purpose of the Franklin High School summer reading program is to instill in students the benefits of becoming life-long readers. These benefits include increased communication skills, vocabulary acquisition, social literacy, intellectual curiosity, and enjoyment of reading.
Directions:
Students will choose a book of interest and will be expected to present their book using the guidelines below on Wednesday, September 24th.
Guidelines for Presentation:
Students will be expected to give an oral presentation of their book using the guidelines outlined in the Summer Reading Rubic. It will be important that students read this rubric carefully in order to understand what is expected of them.
Presentations will be timed and are expected to be between 2-3 minutes.
Due Date:
The presentation/discussion will take place on Wednesday, September 24th.
